Well, this is a new one. Do you remember learning about your state in elementary school and wondering how they came up with the state bird, motto, etc.? I just knew I had to share this book as soon as I found it. It's called United Tweets of America: 50 State Birds Their Stories, Their Glories by Hudson Talbott. Each state has a drawing of the state with the capital and motto. Also included are a comical drawing of the state bird and fun facts about each state. This is one of the most entertaining ways to learn about the states (through their state birds).
